Robie Russell, attorney at Russell and Associates, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in environmental law.
With 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Russell has been an attorney with Russell and Associates since 1995. Prior to obtaining his current role, he was of counsel at Ryan Swanson and Cleveland from 1993 to 1994, president of Environmental Property Management, Inc. from 1991 to 1993, and a regional administrator of region 10 of the US EPA from 1986 to 1990. Earlier in his career, Mr. Russell was a senior deputy attorney general and division chief for the State of Idaho from 1981 to 1986, having been deputy attorney general since 1979.
Mr. Russell began his career as a student at the University of Idaho, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in political science and public administration in 1972. He continued his studies with the school, completing a Certificate in Public Administration in 1974. He later earned a Juris Doctor in 1978. He has been admitted to practice in the states of Idaho and Washington, as well as before the United States District Court for the District of Idaho, the United States Court of Claims, the United States Courts of Appeals for the 9th and Federal Circuits, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States Tax Court.
A respected voice in his areas of interest, Mr. Russell has been an active leader in his community. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Idaho State Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association, the Boise Bar Association, the King County Bar Association, and the National Institute of Municipal Law Officers. He has also been affiliated with the Association of Idaho City Attorneys, the Association of Idaho Cities, Phi Alpha Delta, University of Idaho Alumni Association, the Sons and Daughters of Idaho Pioneers, and the University of Idaho Vandal Scholarship Fund.
