Holly Peacock Young, Retired Mediator at Settlement Consultants, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in mediation.

With nearly 25 years of professional experience, Ms. Young was a mediator at Settlement Consultants, Inc., from 1992 to 1996. Prior to obtaining this role, she was an associate with Wald, Harkrader, and Ross from 1983 to 1984 and an assistant manager with Menlo Sport from 1977 to 1979. Earlier in her career, she was a state water programmer with the EPA from 1973 to 1977. Ms. Young’s area of expertise in law is civil practice, probate, estate planning, commercial family education and law enforcement.

Ms. Young began her career as a student at Dartmouth College, where she completed coursework in 1970. She then joined Connecticut College, completing a Bachelor of Arts in 1971, and she received a Master of Arts from the University of Texas in 1973. She later concluded her studies with Southern Methodist University, earning a Juris Doctor in 1982. Ms. Young has been admitted to practice in the state of Texas. She was influenced to go into mediation upon practicing as an attorney and realizing how often cases could be resolved simply from people sitting down and talking to each other, which spurred her to become a mediator. This philosophy has informed her civic duty as well as her career.
