John Harkins, Partner at Harkins Cunningham, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in economics law.
With more than 60 years of professional experience, Mr. Harkins has been a partner with Harkins Cunningham since 1992. Prior to obtaining his current position, he was chair of Pepper, Hamilton, and Scheetz from 1986 to 1992, having been co-chair since 1982, a partner since 1963, and an associate from 1958 to 1963. In addition to his primary roles, he was an instructor and lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, also serving as editor-in-chief of University of Pennsylvania Law Review.
Mr. Harkins began his career as a student at the University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in 1953. He continued his studies with the school, earning a Bachelor of Laws, summa cum laude, in 1958. He has been admitted to practice in the state of Pennsylvania, as well as before the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Harkins has been featured in numerous honors publications, including multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in the World.
