Robert Hickok, Partner at Pepper Hamilton LLP, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in corporate litigation.
With more than 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Hickok is a partner with Pepper Hamilton LLP. Prior to obtaining his current role, he was a partner with Pepper, Hamilton, and Scheetz in 1986, having been an associate with the firm since 1983. Earlier in his career, he was an assistant attorney with the US Attorneys Office from 1979 to 1983 and a law clerk to Honorable Leonard Garth of the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. The highlight of Mr. Hickok’s career was when they represented Tyco International in a class action that was brought against the company. His firm prevailed in the trial and won.
Mr. Hickok began his career as a student at Lehigh University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in 1974. He then joined Harvard University, completing a Juris Doctor in 1978. He continued his studies with the school, earning a Master of Arts in 1978. He has been admitted to practice in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the District of Columbia, and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Mr. Hickok became involved in his profession because when he went to law school he was interested in economics and studied economics at Harvard as part of a joint degree program. He thought it was an interesting combination of disciplines to understand the way in which the economy works and the way in which people interact in society.
