Tammy Marzigliano, Partner at Outten & Golden, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in employment law.
For Ms. Marzigliano, it is her personal goal to help employees understand what their rights are in the workplace. An eye-opener for her was how little employees know about their rights in the workplace, which in turn inspired her to go out and educate, as well as represent these employees in legal proceedings. She has been a partner at the Outten & Golden firm for more than 17 years and represents clients in all areas of employment law, including matters involving compensation (and bonus) disputes, contractual violations, and whistleblower and individual discrimination claims. With every case she takes she carries the guiding principle to care about her clients and their needs before anything else. At Otten & Golden, Ms. Marzigliano serves as the co-chair of the Financial Services Practice Group, Whistleblower and Retaliation Practice Group, and the Executive and Professionals Practice Group. She is also the former co-chair of the Sex Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Practice Group.
To become a lawyer, Ms. Marzigliano first received a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra University, and earned a JD, magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University Law School in 2001. During her time at Quinnipiac, she served as the Public Relations Editor of the Quinnipiac Health Law Journal. She joined the Otten & Golden firm in 2002. Known by her peers for her hard work and fairness, she was recognized by Best Lawyers in 2018 and Super Lawyers New York Metro edition from 2013 to 2017. She was also considered among the Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Employment Lawyers in 2018. She is admitted to the New York State Bar Association, the Connecticut State Bar Association, the New York Federal Bar Association and the Connecticut Federal Bar Association.
As an experienced litigator, Ms. Marzigliano has provided her services by representing clients in arbitration matters before FINRA and the American Arbitration Association. She has practiced in both state and federal courts and in recent proceedings was a member of the trial team with Larry Moy and Wayne Outten in a complex international arbitration where the Panel issued an award exceeding $70 million. Ms. Marzigliano was also featured on the 3,2,1 iRelaunch podcast, providing her expertise on Episode 9: Understanding Your Rights: Interviewing and Working as a Relauncher. She has maintained professional affiliation with the American Bar Association and has served on its Employment and Labor Relations Committee of the Litigation Section, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the New York County Lawyers’ Association.
