Miles Feinstein, a Lawyer in a Private Practice, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in legal services.
Coming from a rough city, Mr. Feinstein felt law was a natural choice for him. He saw a lot of issues firsthand and saw the effect that legal troubles could have on families. That’s why he focused his attention on criminal defense law; he wanted to give a voice to people who might be overlooked or discounted. Mr. Feinstein started his career as a clerk for a judge, and then stepped out with his own firm. He garnered notoriety from his work on two of the biggest criminal cases at the time, The Cavino and DeBranco murder trials, on which he has two books out. Mr. Feinstein was also involved in the Rubin “The Hurricane” Carter recants. Today, he continues to serve clients in New Jersey facing criminal charges such as assault and battery, bribery, burglary, extortion, homicide, and DUI/DWI.
Mr. Feinstein prepared for his endeavors by earning a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in 1963 and a JD from Duke University in 1966. In his undergraduate years, he was honored as a Henry Rucker scholar and as the recipient of a Woodrow Wilson Scholarship. Upon graduation, he made sure to keep up with developments in his field by affiliating with organizations like the ABA, the National Association Criminal Defense Lawyers, the New Jersey Bar Association, and the Passaic County Bar Association.
As a testament to his accomplishments, Mr. Feinstein was named Man of the Year by the Passaic County Heart Fund, the Passaic County Cancer Society, the Passaic County Council Boy Scouts of America, and the Passaic County Bad Guys Charitable Organization, as well as one of New Jersey’s Super Lawyers. He was also featured in publications like the National Directory of Criminal Lawyers, the Book of Living Legends, Newsweek Magazine, New Jersey Monthly Magazine, and Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, and Who’s Who in the World.
