Utilizing more than five decades of industry experience, Mr. Wilder is an esteemed lawyer who joined Ryley Carlock & Applewhite in 1964. Serving as the firm’s managing shareholder from 1988 to 1998, he now acts as a shareholder with the firm. Over the years, he has focused his practice on public finance, corporate and securities law, real estate, and probate and estate planning, among other transactional facets of the law, and boasts extensive experience in the representation of a variety of clients, including issuers, underwriters, trustees, and borrowing entities. He has additionally represented a number of profit and nonprofit corporations.

In his spare time, Mr. Wilder enjoys serving his community, having been a trustee of the Desert Botanical Garden since 2009 and former director of the Phoenix Community Alliance from 1994 to 2016. Throughout his career, he has also served such entities as Audubon Arizona, the Arizona Club, the Assistance League of Phoenix and the Boy Scouts of America in multiple capacities. Likewise, he is a frequent lecturer at legal and continuing education seminars. Prior to delving into law, he served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1962.

To prepare for his career, Mr. Wilder pursued formal education at the University of Arizona, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Laws in 1962 and 1964, respectively. He has since been admitted to practice law in the state of Arizona, as well as before the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. In an effort to remain abreast of recent developments within the industry, he has maintained affiliation with the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the Arizona Bar Association and the Maricopa County Bar Association. Likewise, he was a founding fellow of the Arizona Bar Foundation.

In recognition of his exceptional legal prowess, Mr. Wilder has accrued several accolades. AV Rated through Martindale-Hubbell, he has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America and was named to Legal Leaders’ Top Rated Lawyer List. Additionally, he was selected for inclusion in the 11th and 13th editions of Who’s Who in American Law, published in 1999 and 2003, respectively.

Married to Lisa Wilder since 1975, Mr. Wilder is the proud father of two adult children and five grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, skiing and playing tennis. He also likes to spend time with his family.
