Frank Bullock, Partner at Womble Bond Dickinson LLP, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in arbitration and federal law.
A nascent interest in law and the results of an aptitude test while in high school beckoned Mr. Bullock to become a lawyer. What ensued has been a career filled with such achievements as being appointed a judge by President Ronald Reagan and having three cases affirmed on the merit by the Supreme Court. It is very rare for a federal judge to have even one case be affirmed to be selected to be looked by the Supreme Court. It is evident that his skills in practicing within the legal arena have brought him much success and he is proud of working under Reagan for 24 years and his work in the private sector.
Mr. Bullock has been a partner at Womble Bond Dickinson LLP since 2006. He was Chief Judge in the US District Court for the Middle District in North Carolina from 1992 to 1999. From 1982 to 2006, he was a federal judge with the US District Court for the Middle District in North Carolina. Prior to his appointment as a judge, Mr. Bullock served as a partner at Douglas, Ravenel, Hardy, Crihfield & Bullock. Earlier in his career, he was an assistant director in the Administrative Office of Courts of North Carolina, an associate at Maupin, Taylor & Ellis and a law clerk to the Honorable Algernon L. Butler. He earned a BSBA and an LLB at the University of North Carolina in 1961 to 1963, respectively. Throughout his career, he has maintained affiliation with the North Carolina Bar Association, the Greensboro Bar Association, the North Carolina Society of Cincinnati, the Florida Society Colonial Wars and the Greensboro Country Club.
