Supported by more than five decades of industry experience, Mr. Curtis has been serving in his own private practice in Hackensack, NJ, for the past 33 years. Prior to delving into the field of law, he was a teacher at multiple schools across the tri-state area, including Hackensack High School, Xavier High School, and Brooklyn Preparatory School. In addition, he briefly served as the director of the Jesuit Seminary and Mission Bureau in the 1960s.

Completing a stint as a teacher of law for the Hackensack Evening School in 1980 and Hackensack Public Schools in 1986, Mr. Curtis has been on the board of directors of The Homestead School since 1986, where he is currently the vice president and treasurer. Throughout his career, he has maintained affiliation with myriad professional organizations, including the American Physical Society and the American Civil Liberties Union, having been a former member of the New York Academy of Sciences, the American Association of Physics Teachers and the Hackensack Education Association, where he was a two-time president from 1979 to 1981 and again from 1997 to 2004. Notably, he is also associated with Mensa International.

Highly educated, Mr. Curtis holds a Bachelor of Arts in physics and Master of Science in education from Fordham University, as well as a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Seton Hall University. He is also licensed in philosophy by the Woodstock College and is a certified teacher of mathematics, physical science and Latin in the state of New Jersey. Likewise, he is a certified teacher of mathematics and physical science in the state of New York.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to law and education, Mr. Curtis has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in the East. Married to Beverley Meadows since 1971, he is the proud father of one daughter, Phyllis. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to HAM radio.
