Prior to this illustrious role, she served of counsel at Stinson, Mag & Fizzell in Dallas from 1986 to 1988 and as a partner at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld in Dallas from 1984 to 1986, having previously served the firm as an associate from 1979 to 1983. She commenced her career as an associate at Gardere & Wynne in Dallas from 1977 to 1979. Alongside her primary endeavors, she was also an adjunct lecturer of law at Southern Methodist University from 1989 to 1990 and again from 1992 to 1998.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Morgan pursued formal education at the University of Kansas, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in 1974. She subsequently attended Southern Methodist University, receiving a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1977. That same year, she was admitted to practice law by the Texas State Bar, as well as before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas in 1978, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in 1979, and the United States Tax Court in 1980. She is also a certified tax law specialist.

Possessing the knowledge from a young age that she wanted to become a lawyer, due in part to the influence of the television show “Perry Mason,” she attributes her success to her willingness to put in hard work and long hours to serve her clients well. As a testament to her professional success, she has been highlighted in the second edition of Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America and multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
