Drawing upon 25 years of professional experience, Mr. Simmons is an acclaimed lawyer who commenced his career as a systems attorney at Niagara Mohawk Power in Syracuse, NY, in 1977, resigning from his position in 1980. Thereafter, he worked as the assistant general counsel for Goulds Pumps, Inc., in Seneca Falls, NY, from 1980 to 1986. Subsequently, he began serving Crucible Materials Corporation in Syracuse, NY, as general counsel and secretary from 1986 to 2003 and a board member and senior executive from 1992 to 2002.

Prior to delving into his career, Mr. Simmons pursued formal education at Georgetown University on a ROTC scholarship, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in foreign service. Soon attending Albany Law School, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1973. Thereafter, he obtained a Master of Laws in corporate law at the School of Law at New York University in 1984. After gaining experience in the field, he enrolled in the executive management program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 1995.

While pursuing his degrees, Mr. Simmons enlisted in the United States Army, serving as an officer from 1970 to 1977. Enlisted as a reserve with the United States Army Command and General Staff College in 1988, he later became a lieutenant colonel with the United States Army Reserve in 1993. Notably, he received a Decorated Army Commendation Medal and Meritorious Service Medal following his service.

A former board member of the New York Seniors Gold Association from 2010 to 2015, Mr. Simmons received a Vatican appointment and was deemed a Knight of the Holy Sepulchre by the Vatican Secretary of State in 1995. As a testament to his professional success, he received a fellowship from the New York State Bar Association Foundation from 2005 to 2009. He has been highlighted in the 58th edition of Who’s Who in America and multiple editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in the East.
