Amassing nearly four decades of professional experience, Mr. Reeg is an esteemed lawyer who has been serving as the president and managing member of Reeg Lawyers, LLC, in Saint Louis, MO, from 2004 to 2015 and again since 2018, where he focuses his practice on the adjudication of toxic torts, products liability, insurance coverage and bad faith and personal injury litigation. He commenced his career as a law clerk to the presiding justice of the Illinois Fifth District Appellate Court. Alongside his primary endeavors, he has served as an instructor in legal research and writing at the St. Louis University School of Law. Civically, he has served as a police and fire commissioner for a St. Louis municipality, served on the board of trustees of Life Crisis Services and Business Counsel, Inc., and continues to serve on the board of trustees of Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.
Mr. Reeg holds a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from DePauw University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Louis University. He has been admitted to practice law in the states of Missouri, Illinois, Kansas and Nebraska, and as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Missouri, the U.S. District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Second, Seventh and Eighth Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Throughout his career, Mr. Reeg has authored and co-authored numerous articles to esteemed journals, such as Super Lawyers Magazine, the Madison-St. Clair Record, the National Forum for Environmental and Toxic Tort Issues Newsletter, the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law, and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel Quarterly, among others. He has additionally written and presented at various conferences regarding toxic torts, environmental and insurance law. A member of the Product Liability Advisory Council since 2013, he has also maintained affiliations with the American Bar Association, the Forum on Environmental and Toxic Tort Issues, the Defense Research Institute, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and the Missouri Bar Association.
As a testament to his professional success, Mr. Reeg has accrued numerous accolades. Named among Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers every year since 2015, he was also named one of the Nation’s Top Mass Tort Litigators in 2017, was named to the Missouri Bar’s 2017 Pro Bono Wall of Honor for giving back to the community in the form of more than 40 hours of free legal services every year for many years and was named the top corporate giver to the New Orleans Pro Bono Project following Hurricane Katrina. He holds an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating through Martindale-Hubbell, the highest level of skill and ethics in the legal profession. Notably, he has been named an Unsung Hero in Business and received the Community Service Recognition Award from the St. Louis Small Business Monthly in 2016. He is well known to quietly purchase souvenirs for underprivileged children at collegiate and professional sporting events. In honor of his unwavering commitment to the legal profession and various communities, Mr. Reeg was awarded the 2018 Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who’s Who.
