Amassing more than 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Hernholm is a respected and prominent family law attorney who has been serving as partner at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP for the past decade. Focusing his practice on family law and litigation, he specializes in pre-marital and post-marital agreements, including property disputes, multi-state and international jurisdiction issues, and child and spousal support, among others. To prepare for his illustrious career, Mr. Hernholm pursued formal education at the University of Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1968. He subsequently enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving as an officer from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1972. Thereafter, he attended California Western School of Law, where he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1975.
Throughout his vocation, Mr. Hernholm has presented at a number of seminars within his area of expertise for such entities as the California Western School of Law, the family law section of the San Diego County Bar Association, and the Queen’s College at Oxford University. As a testament to his professional success, he has maintained a 5.0 Peer Review Rating and Client Review Rating through Martindale-Hubbell and has been an AVVO Top Rated Lawyer since 2017.
