Peter Dulchinos, Lawyer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in patent engineering and intellectual property law.
Mr. Dulchinos originally chose engineering because his brother was an engineer. He liked the idea of it and also felt he could do more in the field on the legal side. Mr. Dulchinos started in electrical engineering and then went to law school at night, graduated in 1964, and in 1966, a position came up in the legal field. He started in a non-legal department reviewing inventions and deciding whether they should file for patents. The boss decided his department should be under his department, which was the legal department. He had originally earned a BSEE from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1956, and an MSEE from the institution in 1957. He earned an MS in engineering management from Northeastern University in 1965 and a JD from Suffolk University in 1984.
In his engineering career, Mr. Dulchinos first worked as an electrical engineer for Sylvania Co. He then accepted similar positions with Tech Ops and RCA in the early 1960s. In 1966, Mr. Dulchinos commenced in his career in law, becoming an attorney with Raytheon Co. He remained with the company until 2006, when he retired. Despite his retirement, Mr. Dulchinos remains active. He was a state committeeman for the 3rd Middlesex District from 2004 to 2016 and has been a court-appointed receiver for the Mobile Home Park in Lunenberg, MA since 2004.
In addition to these roles, Mr. Dulchinos has served as the vice president and on the board of directors for Windhorse Associates since 2007. He has been on the statewide advisory council for the Department of Mental Health since 1996. Mr. Dulchinos helped prepare future legal professionals as a lecturer at Fitchburg State College. Throughout his career, Mr. Dulchinos has served on various membership positions with the Raytheon Employees Professional Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Chelmsford Republican Town Committee, the Chelmsford Board of Health and Windhorse Integrative Mental Health.
