He has also been the managing partner of the firm in Washington, D.C., from 1990 to 1994, previously serving as an associate for the Boston firm from 1970 to 1979. He served as law clerk to the Honorable Harold R. Tyler, Jr., United States District Court for the Southern District of New York from 1969 to 1970. Related to his career, Mr. Gaudreau has worked as an adjunct professor of law for Georgetown University since 1991, Boston University since 1980 and Bentley College from 1978 to 1980. Prior to these positions, Mr. Gaudreau earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts in 1965, a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University, graduating cum laude in 1968 and a Master of Law in taxation from New York University in 1969.

Desiring to make a difference in the world, Mr. Gaudreau believed pursuing the field of law would allow him to elicit positive change. He considers earning a full scholarship to New York University and working with the Honorable Harold R. Tyler, Jr., to be major catalysts in his ultimate success, as was his parents’ encouragement to pursue an education. He fondly remembers his time working for Ropes & Gray, as he had been the first non-Ivy League lawyer to join the firm, and considers this to be a highlight of his career. Mr. Gaudreau attributes his success to living honestly, honorably, and maintaining a solid work ethic. He would like to be remembered as fair, always looking to compromise and find solutions in order to create a positive outcome for all involved. Recognized for his importance in the field of law, he has been inducted to several organizations including, but not limited to, the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel, the American Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar Association. Due to his notoriety, Mr. Gaudreau has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in the East.
