Glenn Dopf, Trial Attorney at DOPF, PC NYC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medical malpractice and personal injury defense.
Mr. Dopf entered the field of law from the love of being in a courtroom which started at an early age. Coming from a blue-collar family, he saw firsthand the inequity between the rich and the poor people who weren’t as competent and that had appeal. A hard worker throughout his entire career, Mr. Dopf put himself through college by mowing lawns and managing a landscaping business. He went to law school at night because he didn’t have the funds. After he got his first law degree he went back for three more years at night to get a second law degree. His efforts were worth it as he graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Fordham University, cum laude, in 1975, and from Fordham University in 1979 with a JD. He received an LLM in international law from New York University in 1983.
Since 2012, Mr. Dopf has owned and provided his legal services for his firm. He has previous experience at Kopff, Nardelli & Dopf LLP, where he practiced law as a partner from 1982 until 2012. Prior to this position, he gained experience in the field as an associate for Martin, Clearwater & Bell in the early 1980s. During this time, he was also employed by the New York County District Attorney’s Office, obtaining extensive experience in civil and criminal litigation. He has litigated major actions to conclusion in both State and Federal Court as a partner at Kopff, Nardelli & Dopf LLP. His legal work has been recognized on numerous occasions, resulting in being featured as one of the Best Lawyers in America for more than a decade. He has been included in New York Super Lawyers from 2006 to 2017 and has been an AV Preeminent Rated Attorney via Martindale-Hubbell since 1985. Furthermore, Mr. Dopf has been ranked one of the New York Area’s Best Lawyers from New York Media LLC between 2006 and 2016.
Part of what makes Mr. Dopf such a success in his chosen career is his dedication and interest in his work. On top of representing his clients, he has written extensively about legal practices for journals and institutes. Some of these include co-authoring “Selected Topics in Damages in Personal Injury Actions” and “The Collateral Source Rule.” In addition, he has contributed to “Medical Malpractice Case Management in Discovery: A Defense Perspective,” and “People v. Plummer, et al.” Psychomotor Epilepsy – The Defense Fails.” He served as a faculty member of the New York State Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Program. In his career, he has maintained affiliation with the American Bar Association and Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
