Mr. Donlevy prepared for his endeavors by earning a JD from the University of Chicago Law School in 1957 and a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University in 1954, as well as by completing coursework at Stanford University and postgraduate work at Northwestern University. He then became admitted to practice before the state of Illinois, the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. To keep in touch with his peers and professional community, Mr. Donlevy became involved with prominent organizations like the Illinois State Bar Association, the University Club of Chicago, the ABA, and The Chicago Bar Association. He also authored “Vocational Rehabilitation Needs Legislation Rehabilitation” and “The Sixth Amendment Right to Counsel: Does Miranda Suffice?”
