To prepare for his illustrious career, Mr. Kaufman pursued a formal education at the University of Maryland, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in government, politics and philosophy in 2003. He subsequently attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, receiving a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2006. He has been admitted by the New York State Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Florida Bar. He is a member of the New York City Bar Association, the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the New York Criminal Bar Association, among several others.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the legal industry, Mr. Kaufman has been named a Rising Star in Criminal Defense by Super Lawyers, a Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorney by the National Trial Lawyers, and a Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers.
