Ms. Clark has been serving of counsel at Clark & Gentry, LLC, in New York City since 2018, having previously held the role of partner with the firm for 15 years. In her position, she focuses her practice on sophisticated income and estate planning techniques, as well as the representation of individuals and businesses in federal and state income, estate and gift tax matters. Likewise, she handles leveraged gifting programs, insurance trusts, wills and revocable living trusts for several clients. Prior to these positions, she held prominent roles with such firms as Smith, Buss & Jacobs; Pirro, Collier, Cohen, Crystal & Block; Weitzner, Levine & Hamburg; and Roger & Wells. In addition, she was an adjunct assistant professor of law at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in 1985.
To prepare for her career, Ms. Clark earned a Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin in 1974 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Chicago in 1979. After obtaining some hands-on experience in the field, she returned to school and received a Master of Laws in taxation from New York University in 1988. She has since been licensed to practice law in the state of New York.
A prolific author, Ms. Clark has contributed myriad articles to professional journals and has lectured extensively in her field. The author of “Thinking About a Captive Insurance Company for Your Business? What You Need to Know” and “Physician-Owned Captives: A View of Why and How They Can Work Well,” she also co-authored “Wealth Protection M.D.” and “Letters of Credit.” In addition, she has maintained affiliation with the tax section of the American Bar Association and the Union League Club.
In recognition of her exceptional contributions to law, Ms. Clark has held an AV Rating through Martindale-Hubbell. In addition, she was selected for inclusion in several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
