He currently parlays that experience into his role as a partner and lawyer at Wright, Constable & Skeen, LLP, where he represents individuals in estate and trust planning and litigation. Other areas of practice include business acquisitions, dispositions, and disputes, property matters, nonprofits, construction law, and mediation and arbitration.
To keep in touch with his peers and professional community, Mr. Gordon joined prominent organizations like the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Bar Foundation, the ABA, and the Baltimore Bar Foundation. He also authored publications like “New Legislation Makes for Big Changes to Maryland Estate Planning,” “Reverse Mortgages: Something to Consider, Carefully,” “Maryland Authorizes Statutory Pet Trusts,” and “Caring for Your Pet: An Estate Planner´s View.”
Mr. Gordon prepared for his endeavors by earning a JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1959 and an Associate of Arts from the University of Baltimore in 1956, and by completing annual MICPEL mediation training. He then became admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
In light of his achievements, Mr. Gordon was honored with the Paul A. Dorf Memorial ADR Award from the Bar Association of Baltimore City in 2016, the David Hjortsberg Award from the MSBA and Howard County Bar Association in 2008, and the Presidential Award from the Bar Association of Baltimore City in 1995. Additionally, he was featured on Maryland Super Lawyers from 2007 to 2018, and has achieved an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
When Mr. Gordon isn’t working, he enjoys pursuing hobbies like dog obedience training, traveling, sailing, socializing, and watching the Baltimore Orioles play at Camden Yards. He is also an active volunteer and pilot; he was thrilled when he achieved his lifelong dream of flying at the age of 65.
