She made a name for herself as one of the first females in construction law and, over the years, developed a reputation for being an astute problem-solver who isn’t afraid to take risks. Now, in addition to her practical work, she is coveted as a speaker, author, and editor.

Some of the highlights of Ms. Klinger’s career include being the 2017 recipient of the Martin J. Andrew Award for Lifetime Achievement in Fidelity and Surety Law through the American Bar Association and being the 2010 recipient of the James Acret Award for Construction Law Writing through the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She is also proud to have earned a JD from Hastings College of the Law at the University of California, San Francisco, in 1978 and a Bachelor of Science in political science from the Santa Clara University in 1975, and to be admitted to practice in the state of California. Looking to the future, Ms. Klinger hopes to continue growing in the field. She believes law to be a good combination of fun and intellectually challenging when viewed in the right light.
