She is well-versed in both debtor and creditor cases, including business and consumer chapters of the United States Bankruptcy Code.
Ms. Wilkins was inspired to pursue a career in the legal industry by her mother, who was a judge, and her father, who was an attorney. She first studied at the University of Alabama, obtaining an undergraduate degree in 2007, and she earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in 2010. She interned for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama Sue Bell Cobb.
Ms. Wilkins has been admitted to practice in the state of Alabama, as well as before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Tax Court. She attributed much of her success to having great mentors, including her parents as well as her former law partner.
In addition to her work in the field, Ms. Wilkins is an active member of her community. A panel trustee of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the Middle District of Alabama, she represents underprivileged and indigent clients. In addition, she is a Chapter 7 panel trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Alabama, helping to represent bankrupt estates and overseeing the liquidation of assets to pay debts to creditors. She is also active with the Junior League of Montgomery.
In her free time, Ms. Wilkins enjoys spending time with her family.
