A partner at Ball Eggleston, PC, since 1964, Mr. Bumbleburg has amassed more than 50 years of professional experience in his areas of expertise. In his position, he focuses on real estate development, municipal law, zoning, and subdivision law, as well as mediation of disputes regarding personal injury and wrongful death. Alongside his primary endeavors, he has been the secretary of the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Merit Board since 1968.
To prepare for his illustrious career, Mr. Bumbleburg obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame in 1958 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University in 1961. He was presented with an honorary Associate of Science in community service from Ivy Tech Community College in 2013. Mr. Bumbleburg has been admitted to practice in the state of Indiana, as well as before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Federal Circuits, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
In recognition of his exceptional contributions to law and community service, Mr. Bumbleburg has been named Distinguished Barrister by the Indiana Lawyers Leadership in Law Series in 2014, was the recipient of the Grand Marquis Award for Community Service in 2010, and was inducted into the Academy of Alumni Fellows by the Mauer School of Law at Indiana University in 2002. Notably, he was presented with the Citation for Community Achievement by President Jimmy Carter in 1979. However, he is most proud of receiving the Harriman Award for Distinguished Volunteer Service by the American National Red Cross in 1992, the highest award given for volunteer service.
