Robert Joseph Siverd, Lawyer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the legal industry.
Amassing more than 40 years of professional experience in the field of law, Mr. Siverd most recently served in private practice until his retirement from the industry in 2015. He is the former senior counsel of Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP from 2014 to 2015, former executive vice president and general counsel of General Cable Corporation from 1994 to 2014, and former vice president and associate general counsel of the American Financial Group, Inc., from 1987 to 1992. Among his other prominent roles, Mr. Siverd commenced his career as an associate of Donovan Leisure Newton & Irvine in 1973.
To prepare for his celebrated career, Mr. Siverd first completed coursework at The Sorbonne in Paris, France, in 1969, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in French at Georgetown University in 1970. Soon thereafter, he earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Georgetown University in 1973. He has since been admitted to practice law in New York, Kentucky, and Ohio, as well as before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, and Sixth Circuits, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
A member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, Mr. Siverd was honored with an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 in recognition of his exceptional contributions to law. In addition, he was selected for inclusion in several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
