Progressing from associate to partner at Condon & Forsyth beginning in 1980, Mr. Margo recently retired in 2012 after amassing more than 30 years of professional excellence in the legal industry. Founded in 1935, Condon & Forsyth is a world renowned law firm recognized for its proficiency in handling insurance, commercial, product liability, complex tort, and aviation litigation. Recognized as one of the top firms in aviation by Chambers USA, Condon & Forsyth has more than 40 lawyers in three offices in New York City, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Alongside his work performed with the law firm, Mr. Margo spent much of his career acting as a lecturer of aviation law at the University of California, Los Angeles, from 1981 to 1998. In addition, he briefly served as an adjunct professor of law at the Institute of Air and Space Law in Montreal. An elected fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, he was formerly associated with the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

A prolific author, Mr. Margo also lent his time and expertise to several law publications. He was the author of “Aviation Insurance, Third Edition,” published in 2000, as well as the coauthor of “Montreal Convention, First Edition” in 2007 and “Shawcross & Beaumont on Air Law, Fourth Review Edition” in 2009.

Mr. Margo pursued a formal education prior to delving into the field of law, earning a Bachelor of Commerce in 1970 and a Bachelor of Laws, cum laude, in 1973 from the University of Witwatersrand. He subsequently relocated to Montreal, where he earned a Doctor of Civil Laws from McGill University in 1979. Upon moving to the United States in 1978, he was admitted to practice law in the states of California and Georgia, and in Washington, DC, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States. In addition, he has been certified as a solicitor in New South Wales, Australia.

In recognition of his exceptional achievements, Mr. Margo was named a Worldwide Humanitarian and Industry Leader in 2017. Furthermore, he has been selected for inclusion into several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
