Originally intending to go into the field of engineering, Mr. Brady first earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Catholic University of America in 1953, working for three years for Sperry Gyroscope Company on Long Island, NY. Following in his father’s footsteps, who was a patent attorney, Mr. Brady returned to his academic pursuits and obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Georgetown University in 1959 and was employed by several law firms in the field of trademark and copyright law. Now retired, Mr. Brady most recently acted as of counsel with Birch, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch LLP from 1996 to 2004, having previously spent the bulk of his career as a senior partner of Brady, O’Boyle and Gates for 32 years.
Admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Mr. Brady has maintained affiliation with the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Maryland Patent Law Association. Alongside his primary endeavors, he also participates in a number of civic engagements as the vice president of Ministr-O-Media, Inc., and a devout follower of St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church.
In recognition of his exceptional contributions to his industry and community, Mr. Brady was honored with the Manifesting Kingdom Award by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese in 2014. In addition, he has been highlighted in several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in the World.
