Mr. Beattie commenced his career as an associate and partner of Doherty, Rumble & Butler from 1973 to 1999.

To prepare for his illustrious career, Mr. Beattie received a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from the University of Michigan in 1970 and Doctor of Jurisprudence from Yale University in 1973. He has been admitted to the Minnesota Bar, the U.S. District Court of Minnesota, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

A contributor of articles to professional journals, Mr. Beattie is a member of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota Bar Association, and the Regional Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce. In recognition of his exceptional accomplishments, he was named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who’s Who in 2017. Happily married with three children and seven grandchildren, Mr. Beattie enjoys sailing, skiing, and choral singing in his spare time.
