A celebrated figure in the field of law, Mr. Huge has amassed nearly 55 years of professional excellence in his areas of expertise. A partner and owner of The Huge Law Firm, PLLC, since 2002, he previously served as partner of Powell Goldstein Frazer & Murphy from 1995 to 2002, senior partner of Shea and Gould International from 1992 to 1994, senior partner of Donovan, Leisure, Rogovin, Huge & Schiller from 1976 to 1992, partner and associate of Arnold & Porter from 1965 to 1976, and associate of Chapman and Cutler, LLP, from 1963 to 1965.

Alongside his professional endeavors, Mr. Huge has been an affiliate of W.R. Grace Settlement Trust since 2014, chair of the Armstrong World Industries Settlement Trust since 2006, and Charleston trustee of the Shook & Fletcher Asbestos Settlement Trust with MFR Claims Processing, Inc., since 2002. A former affiliate of the Owens Corning Asbestos Settlement Trust in 2006, he was chair and trustee of the United Mine Workers Health and Retirement Fund from 1973 to 1978, president of the Voter Education Project from 1972 to 1977, and chair of the board of directors of the Hollings Cancer Center with the Medical University of South Carolina. He is also a former managing trustee of AWI Licensing, LLC.

Mr. Huge was a member of the board of governors of Nebraska Wesleyan University from 1978 to 2016, a member of the task force on local government with the Greater Washington Research Center from 1981 to 1982, and a member of the President’s General Advisory Committee on Arms Control from 1977 to 1981. Moreover, he was a special master for Friends of All Children, Inc., and member of the National Tobacco Settlement Arbitration Panel.

To prepare for his prolific career, Mr. Huge sought a formal education, first receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1959. He followed this accomplishment with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Georgetown University in 1963. After obtaining hands-on experience in the field, he completed his education with a Doctor of Laws, with honors, from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2005. He has been admitted to practice law by the South Carolina Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the Illinois State Bar Association.

A contributor of articles to professional journals, Mr. Huge has maintained affiliation with several industry-related organizations. An honorary consul with the Harry and Reba Huge Foundation since 2006, he has also been chair of the Dorothy Vorderstrasse Huge Scholarship Fund for Women since 2004. In addition, he was on the board of directors of the University of Maryland in 1996, co-chair of the legislative committee of the litigation section of the American Bar Association in 1981, and on the board of professional responsibility of the District of Columbia Bar from 1976 to 1981. He has further been associated with the South Carolina Aquarium as director and the Institute of Human Virology with the School of Medicine at the University of Maryland.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to his industry, Mr. Huge was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Institute of Human Virology with the School of Medicine at the University of Maryland in 2010. In addition, he was presented with the Order of the Cross by Terra Mariana, Estonia, in 2006. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Huge has been married to Reba Kinne since 1960 and has one son, Theodore. He has been selected for inclusion into several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, and Who’s Who in the World.
