To prepare for his celebrated career, Mr. Hampton sought formal education, obtaining an Associate of Arts from Jefferson State Junior College in 1977. He followed this with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Samford University in 1979, as well as a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1982. In recognition of his exceptional accomplishments, he was honored with the Pro Bono Award from the Lawyer Referral Service in both 1990 and 1992.

Hailing from a family of hard workers with roots in manual labor, Mr. Hampton delved into the world of disability law as a result of witnessing family members succumb to injury and illness which prevented them from working. He considers the highlight of his career his continuous representation of those who have difficulty advocating for themselves, winning cases in worker’s compensation and disability benefits to make his clients’ lives easier.
