In these positions, he focuses his attention on agricultural law, business law, contracts, real estate, taxation, wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate law. Earlier in his career, he was a law clerk to the U.S. District Judge in Des Moines, Iowa, from 1961 to 1962.
Alongside his professional endeavors, Mr. Brennecke participates in a number of civic engagements, including as a member of the United Methodist Church, as a former member of the board of trustees of the Iowa Law School Foundation, as a former finance chair of the Republican Party for the Fourth Congressional District of Iowa, and as a former member of the board of directors for the Marshalltown YMCA. To share his knowledge with his community, he has also contributed numerous articles to professional journals pertaining to his areas of expertise.
To prepare for his illustrious career, Mr. Brennecke first sought formal education, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in business administration from The University of Iowa in 1959. He subsequently earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the College of Law at The University of Iowa in 1961. He has been admitted to practice by the Bar of Iowa.
As a leading expert in his industry, Mr. Brennecke maintains affiliation with numerous organizations, including the Iowa Bar Association, where he was president from 1990 to 1991, the American Bar Association, where he was chairman of the House of Delegates from 1984 to 1986 and on the board of directors of the National Judicial College from 1982 to 1988, the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, the American College of Tax Counsel, and Promise Keepers.
In recognition of his contributions, Mr. Brennecke was honored with the Award of Merit from the Iowa State Bar Association in 1987. In addition, he has been named one of the Top 100 Industry Experts, a Lifetime Achiever, an Elite Worldwide Professional, and an Elite American Lawyer. He has further been inducted into several editions of Who’s Who, including Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the Midwest, and Who’s Who in the World.
