Marilyn Windschiegl, Director of Clinical Trial Contracts & Compliance at PharmaSeek, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medical law.
Coming from a family of doctors, Ms. Windschiegl was influenced by their line of work when pursuing her own passion in the field of law. While medicine had been an interest, it wasn’t until she took a class in high school called Justice and the Law that she was inspired to follow this line of work instead. Now with more than 20 years of legal experience, Ms. Windschiegl uses her skills as the Director of Clinical Trials Contracts and Compliance with PharmaSeek, a position she has been in since 2015. She previously worked as a HIPAA privacy officer and compliance attorney with Dean Health Plan, Inc. and as an associate general counsel and regulatory compliance director for WEA Trust. Earlier in her career, Ms. Windschiegl provided her services as legislative counsel of the Wisconsin Medical Society, legal counsel of the Wisconsin Education Association Council, and as a manager of field service operations and electronic claims with WPS Health Insurance.
Ms. Windschiegl began her career by attending the University of Wisconsin, receiving a Bachelor of Science in education in 1978. She later returned to her education to receive a JD at the institution in 1998. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association, the Dane County Bar Association, the Madison Civics Club Board, and Women in Healthcare Management. She attributes her success to her passion for her work, which leads opportunities to present themselves.
A leader in her community, Ms. Windschiegl is active with the World Wildlife Fund, the National Defense Fund, St. Jude’s Research Hospital, and the American Players Theatre. Furthermore, she provides her services as the president of the HIPAA Collaborative of Wisconsin, having been involved with the organization in 2006 on the board of directors, and she has served on the planning committee for the Mega Conference in Wisconsin.
