With a lifelong interest in different cultures coupled with unrivaled motivation, Mr. Israel serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Dai Phuc Development Co., Ltd. He has held this role since 2014, bringing a wealth of expertise via his legal background to the company. Prior to joining the Vietnamese development firm, Mr. Israel served as the Chairman and CEO of Saigon Interiors, LLC from 2007 to 2014 and as the Chairman and CEO of Danao International Holdings, Ltd from 2000 to 2007. Earlier in his career, Mr. Israel worked at various law firms from the late 1970s until 2000. He first worked as an associate at Clifford & Warnke and then joined as partner of Stovall, Spradlin, Armstrong & Israel. In 1985, he was made partner at Dorsey & Whitney. Prior to moving abroad, he provided his services as partner at Stroock, Stroock & Lavan and another private law practice.
Ms. Israel prepared for a career in law by first earning an honorary Bachelor of Arts in international relations from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in 1968. He continued his education at the George Washington University, receiving an honorary JD in 1974. During his education, he served as a First Lieutenant with the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972. He was admitted to the California bar in 1975 and a year later to the bar in Washington D.C. Mr. Israel is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands.
In 1989, Mr. Israel published “Investment Guides to the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of the Marshall Islands,” having served as special counsel to the President of the Federated States of Micronesia from 1982 to 1984. Mr. Israel has also served as the special assistant to the attorney general in the Territory of Guam from 1990 to 1995 and the Board Chairman and CEO of Gallo, Ltd. in Asia. Looking toward the future, Mr. Israel endeavors to continue working, living, and enjoying life in Vietnam.
