Kristie L. Bowerman, Esq., Senior Attorney at Immigration & Nationality Law Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Immigration Law.
Ms. Bowerman founded the Immigration & Nationality Law Group in 2004 after five years in private practice. She is now the senior attorney of her group, and attributes her success to parents who instilled in her a curiosity about the world, a sense of responsibility and caring for others, as well as a strong work ethic. As a young law student, Ms. Bowerman was awarded a grant from the Tulane Public Interest Law to work as a law clerk for the Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services in Atlanta, GA, where she was inspired to continue providing immigration legal representation, gradually growing into a career in helping individuals, families, and employers navigate the U.S. immigration system.
An alumna of the Grand Valley State University, Ms. Bowerman earned a BA in international relations and attended Tulane University to earn a JD. She was admitted to practice in the state of Louisiana after working with the Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services, and has since experienced happiness and pride at naturalization ceremonies for her clients becoming U.S. citizens after a long naturalization process. She feels there is a need for compassionate, skilled attorneys in immigration, and Ms. Bowerman looks forward to many years of representation as well as inspiring and guiding young attorneys on her path.
As a law student, Ms. Bowerman contributed to the Journal of International and Comparative Law at Tulane as a notes and comments editor, and was later honored as a Louisiana Rising Star of Super Lawyers in 2012, as well as a Top Lawyer of St. Charles Magazine and New Orleans Magazine. She was selected as the Avvo Clients’ Choice from 2013 to 2017, and her firm was declared the Best Immigration & Nationality Firm in the Louisiana Section of Acquisition International. Ms. Bowerman is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association.
