Homer L. McCormick Jr., Esq, Lawyer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Law.
Mr. McCormick is the owner of McCormick Mediation Services in Orange County and a founding senior partner of McCormick, Kidman & Behrens of Costa Mesa, both in California. He is also an elected member of the California Condemnation Lawyers, and served as a Judge Pro Tempore of the Orange County Superior Court in 1984, 1981, and 1975. Mr. McCormick is a contributing author of “Real Property Remedies” and other publications in public law for legal literature. He was named a Marquis Who’s Who Industry Expert, and is a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mr. McCormick has appeared in Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the West, and the 18th edition of Who’s Who in the World. He attended George Washington University before earning an AB from San Jose State University, and served to the rank of lieutenant with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1951 to 1956 as a pilot in Korea. Mr. McCormick returned to California to earn a JD from the University of California, San Francisco in 1961. He served in various firms before founding his current offices, and was notably an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association from 1966 to 1988.
Over many years of practice, Mr. McCormick was admitted to practice in the state of California, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court in the Southern, Northern, and Central Districts of California, as well as the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Named 1992 Alumnus of the Year of Hastings Law School, Mr. McCormick has given back to academia as a speaker and lecturer in the field. He holds a professional designation with the International Right of Way Association.
