Monica L. Kaiser, Esq., Mediator at The Kaiser Practice, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Family and Commercial Law.
Ms. Kaiser has been a collaborative family lawyer and divorce mediator at her practice since 1994, with some involvement with corporate mediation as well. She was a party appointed arbitrator of the American Arbitration Association from 1998 to 2015, and holds a seat on the board of directors of the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York. Ms. Kaiser initially worked for a large corporate firm, but felt her career needed a more personal and individual touch. She went through her own divorce at around the same time, and after being exposed to the way divorces were handled, decided to go into mediation and family law to find a better way.
An alumna of Duke University, Ms. Kaiser earned an AB, magna cum laude, and went on to Fordham University, where she completed a JD with honors. She is also certified by the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals, the Center for Mediation and Law, and the Family and Divorce Mediation Counsel of Greater New York, after being admitted to practice by the New York City Bar Association. As a valued New York family attorney, Ms. Kaiser gives back to the continuing education committee of the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York, and volunteers as an attorney mediator with the NYC Low Income Program.
Ms. Kaiser has also given her time as a volunteer with the Goddard Riverside Community Church, and as a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the New York State Bar Association. She was named to the 10 Best Family Law Attorneys for Client Satisfaction in New York by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys in 2015, and received a 1990 American Jurisprudence Award for Constitutional Law. Ms. Kaiser is also dedicated to educating attorneys and the public as director of the the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals. She is married and has two children.
