Joe E. White, Jr., Esq., President at White & Weddle, P.C., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Trial Law.
Mr. White is a founding partner and president of his firm, which opened its doors in 1995. He is an accomplished trial attorney, and has been proud of taking the opportunity to defend the wrongly accused and exonerating the innocent. As a child, Mr. White was not very good at talking his way out of trouble, and became a lawyer to improve that skill. He later became focused in helping the underdog, which has defined his career as a lawyer. Mr. White has often been called a plaintiff’s lawyer, an approachable attorney, or a handshake lawyer, and often takes on big companies who have “wronged the little guy.”
A recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and an alumnus of Central State University, now the University of Central Oklahoma, Mr. White earned a JD from the College of Law at the University of Oklahoma in 1988. He was an associate of Hughes, White, Adams, & Grant in Oklahoma City, becoming partner in 1993. Since 1994, he has been a barrister of the American Inns of Court, and since 1992 he has served the University of Central Oklahoma Foundation as vice chairman of its board of directors. Mr. White was a trustee of the Oklahoma Student Loan Authority for four years, and as manager of the Oklahoma Education Association’s Personal Legal Services Program, he contributes to legal education in the Sooner State.
Mr. White was named to Oklahoma Super Lawyers of Oklahoma Magazine from 2006 to 2017, and is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Litigation Counsel of America. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the American Association for Justice, the Oklahoma Association for Justice, and the Society of Outstanding Lawyers of America. Mr. White is very passionate about the law, and finds his greatest joy in spending time with his family.
