Frederick M. Morgan, Jr., Shareholder at Morgan Verkamp LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Law.
In addition to his role as shareholder, Mr. Morgan has also served as a lead and co-lead counsel for Representing Whistle-blowers since 1996. He learned early on, while working with his mentors in law school, that so long as he was prepared, he had nothing to fear. Since earning a JD from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, he has served as a trial attorney with the civil division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington DC, as well as a law clerk with U.S. Senior District Judge David S. Porter, further bolstering his confidence.
Mr. Morgan’s mentors were two women with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Cincinnati, who worked with him on swine flu cases. He has since become an accomplished attorney on the subjects of criminal and civil damages, healthcare fraud, and false civil claims. Notably, he co-authored a chapter for the “International Handbook on Whistleblowing Research,” and contributed to the False Claims Act. Among numerous achievements, Mr. Morgan is known for working closely with the U.S. Justice Department to secure a $61.5 million settlement from the Boeing Company in a False Claims Act case, as well as numerous False Claims Act cases with other well-known firms.
