Genevieve Krause LaRobardier, JD, Lawyer at Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Law.
Ms. LaRobardier believes she has been very fortunate in both the encouragement she has received and the opportunities that have allowed her to become a successful attorney. In high school, her dream of being an attorney found skepticism from people because so few women were attorneys, and in fact Ms. LaRobardier did overcome many obstacles. She has now been with the firm of Bressler, Amery & Ross since 1993, and recognized as a resource and contributing author for “New Jersey Federal Civil Procedure” since 1999. Ms. LaRobardier is a Marquis Who’s Who Industry Expert and the recipient of an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, selected for inclusion in numerous volumes of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of American Women.
Born to Allan Joseph and Genevieve Ferrington Krause, Ms. LaRobardier developed a passion for law after reading about attorneys and legal background. She attended Barnard College, and initially studied teaching to earn an MA, summa cum laude, from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1966. She ultimately earned a JD from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in 1983 simultaneously with a degree in international law from Columbia Law School. Ms. LaRobardier started in the field as a legal intern for the Margolis Law Firm in Verona, New Jersey, and quickly became a partner. She was a special counsel for the Hannoch Weisman Law Firm for three years before joining her current firm. Ms. LaRobardier has taught as an adjunct faculty member in the language department of Fairleigh-Dickinson, and volunteers her time on an international moot court team.
Ms. LaRobardier is an editor of the judicial board of the Rutgers Law review, and has contributed to legal literature in professional journals and articles. She is the recipient of a 2014 International Allegiance Award and a 1997 Distinguished Legislative Service Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association. Ms. LaRobardier is also a legal counsel of the Women’s Automotive Association International, and a board member of the Trans-Atlantic Business Council, in addition to holding membership with numerous legal societies. She married the late Lamont Mercell LaRobardier, who is survived by their children, Lamont Jr., Allan Lamont, Suzanne, Marie Bernadette, and Genevieve. Ms. LaRobardier’s grandchildren are Jason, Michael, Shane, Nicole, Allan, Dustin, Evan, Amanda, and Ryan.
