Judge Glynn F. Voisin, Administrative Law Judge at the Social Security Administration, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the Judicial System.
Judge Voisin attributes his success to his faith, family, friends, community, country, and profession, which have always been his priorities in life. He is a firm believer in service above self, and is proud of fulfilling that belief first as a commissioned U.S. Marine Corps officer and later as an appointed federal administrative law judge, along with the leadership positions associated with those offices. Though Judge Voisin intends to continue in the coming years as a judge, he is considering retiring to teach, and to spend more time with family and friends.
An AV Preeminent lawyer with Martindale-Hubbell and a two-time recipient of Presidential Certificates of Appreciate for Service in the U.S. Armed Forces, Judge Voisin attended Nicholls State University and earned a JD in 1977 from Tulane University Law School. He served the U.S. Marines in Vietnam, and was decorated with numerous honors, including a Navy Achievement Medal and later a Cold War Medal. In recent years, he has been presented with a 20 Year Silver Service Award for Service to the U.S. Government, and in 2017 Judge Voisin was welcomed as an adjunct professor of Social Security Disability Law at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.
