Christine M. Waisanen, Founder, Chief Writer at Hill, Katzenstein & Waisanen, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Legal Writing.
For over thirty years, Ms. Waisanen has led the firm she founded in 1987 as chief writer of legal and business documents for clients such as the Delaware Psychological Association and other legal firms in the area. Before founding her company, she worked for 11 years in the federal and city government, using her expertise to form a stable, profitable enterprise. Ms. Waisanen continues to work for her local community as chairman of the Delaware State Coastal Zone Industrial Control Board.
Born in Hancock, Michigan, to Frederick B. and Helen M. Waisanen, Ms. Waisanen attended the University of Michigan to earn a BA with honors, going on to complete a JD with the University of Denver. She worked for three years as a labor relations attorney with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, before becoming a government relations specialist with ICI Americas Inc., based in Wilmington, Delaware. Ms. Waisanen served as director of cultural affairs for the city of Wilmington in the late ‘80s, and former Hill, Katzenstein and Waisanen in 1988. She was admitted to practice in the state of Colorado and the District of Columbia.
After serving closely with government, Ms. Waisanen also became a member of the Federal Bar Association, and led the Junior League of Wilmington as vice president from 1985 to 1986. She held a seat on the Women’s Republican Club of Wilmington from 1988 to 1993, and since 1999 has served as president of the University of Michigan Club of Delaware. Ms. Waisanen was featured in the pages of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of American Women. She is the proud mother of Jeffrey Hunt and Erick Hill.
