Tad S. Shapiro, Attorney and Shareholder at Shapiro, Galvin, Shapiro & Moran, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in personal injury law.

An award-winning attorney with nearly 45 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Shapiro has excelled as an attorney and shareholder with Shapiro, Galvin, Shapiro & Moran in Santa Rosa, California, since 1982. Operating out of the civil law firm, he is responsible for handling all injury litigation and trial work in his present position while addressing minimal administrative work. Moreover, he often works as a mediator and arbitrator for a large number of his cases. Beyond his primary efforts at Shapiro, Galvin, Shapiro & Moran, Mr. Shapiro leverages his wealth of expertise through teaching and presenting engagements for continuing education courses.

Before embarking upon his professional path, Mr. Shapiro pursued an education at the University of California Los Angeles, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1977. He subsequently concluded his formal studies at UC Law San Francisco, formerly known as the University of California Hastings College of Law, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1980. He began his career as an associate at the Law Offices of Gerald C. Sterns between 1980 and 1982. Mr. Shapiro was drawn toward his current role by his father, who founded Shapiro, Galvin, Shapiro & Moran in 1968 and welcomed him into the practice following his tenure with the Law Offices of Gerald C. Sterns.

Outside of his responsibilities in the courtroom, Mr. Shapiro has participated in a number of endeavors to support his community, his colleagues, and the next generation of legal professionals. For six years, he has been active as a board member for the Sonoma County Family YMCA. Likewise, he has served on the board for the Redwood Empire Food Bank, a Santa Rosa-based nonprofit organization that has fed the underserved communities in Sonoma Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte counties in California through various programs since 1987. Mr. Shapiro has also contributed to the board of trustees for a local law school.

Mr. Shapiro has maintained his association with several organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. For 30 years, he has been affiliated with the American Inns of Court, an esteemed legal society dedicated to the promotion of the utmost professionalism in the practice of law since 1985. Furthermore, he was appointed as a charter senior fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. In addition to these memberships, Mr. Shapiro remains involved with the Consumer Attorneys of California, previously known as the California Trial Lawyers.

Mr. Shapiro has attributed his success to his commitment to continually improving in his practice while conducting the best work possible on a daily basis by prioritizing the needs of his clients. As a testament to his exceptional work in the field of law, he has been recognized among the Law Dragon 500, the Best Lawyers of America, and the Northern California Super Lawyers, the latter of which has celebrated him for 20 years. Among his most memorable moments, he is incredibly proud to represent individuals during times of great difficulty and while fighting for justice, as he has personally witnessed the remarkable courage of his clients while encouraging their opponents to change their ways for the better. Looking toward the future, Mr. Shapiro hopes to continue advancing his practice while meeting his high personal expectations, learning something new each day, and striving to reach higher goals, including arguing cases before the state supreme court, the U.S. Supreme Court, and sharing his unique perspective through legal journals and publications.
